Belling machines are designed for PE and PP pipes with structured walls (corrugated-ultrarib) and CPE system that have the Sica patent. The socket is created by hot forming the ends on the pipe creating a rigid socket because it is formed with the pipe’s structured wall. This eliminates the need for double sockets and injection-molded sockets that are made with the use of costly injection machinery and then the need for a large warehouse for storage. Warehouse logistics/transport are no longer a concern. The 3-stage forming system has 12 expandable inserts and a mechanical mandrel. The CPE cycle stops unplanned socket shrinkage, even after it has been exposed to the elements long term.
