Automatic milling and pressing system
The bulk sample is crushed with a vibrating disc mill, featuring a tungsten carbide grinding vessel optimized for the AMP. Integrated nozzles allow blowing out of the vessel after grinding.
The fine material from the main grinding is pressed into a sample ring using a hydropneumatic cylinder, implementing preset cycles for pressure build-up, holding, and release. After pressing, the specimen undergoes a vacuum test in a device to ensure its minimum stability.
To fully automate the AMP, components are blown clean with compressed air after each grinding & pressing. Contaminated air is collected through internal dedusting lines to a connection on the housing, which can link to an external dedusting system.
The integrated PLC control with touchscreen simplifies machine operation. It allows input and saving of grinding times, grinding aid tablet numbers & pressing parameters. Fault displays aid fast troubleshooting for auto return.
