The compact RTUs from the SIMATIC RTU3000C family are energy-self-sufficient, low-power Remote Terminal Units (RTUs). They enable the reliable monitoring of the most remote measuring points.
Compact Remote Terminal Units operate wherever you need them
Our compact RTUs from the SIMATIC RTU3000C family are ideal for locations with no connection to a public power grid. Thanks to low-power operation, they don’t need an external power source.
Compact, energy-self-sufficient, rugged
The RTUs have a flexible power supply concept. They can be operated with up to 2 x 3 redundant battery modules or connected to an accumulator with a solar panel or a 12–24-V DC power source. They operate reliably even under harsh conditions ranging from -40 to +70° Celsius. A protective external enclosure also allows them to be used in areas prone to flooding (IP68).
Protocols supported:
IEC 60870-5-104
DNP3
SINAUT ST7
TeleControl Basic
MQTT
Typical applications include data logging, leak detection, monitoring pumping stations and water reservoirs, monitoring liquid levels in tanks and silos, monitoring agricultural irrigation systems, flood protection, and buoy position detection.
Telecontrol and cloud connection in a single device
With firmware V5.0, the RTU3000C telecontrol modules can be connected via MQTT to all standard cloud systems, such as MindSphere, Microsoft Azure, and AWS. In addition to telecontrol, this expands the range of possible applications for SIMATIC RTU3000C to include cloud applications.
