SCALANCE LPE at a glance SCALANCE LPE is a small and robust local processing engine with a powerful CPU. It is flexibly usable – for example, for edge applications that allow you to significantly boost the efficiency of your plants. SCALANCE LPE collects data directly at the process, pre-processes it, and makes it available to other systems. Possible applications are e.g. condition monitoring of multiple devices for the purpose of predictive maintenance or anomaly detection in communications networks. Thanks to its powerful CPU, the processing engine handles several applications simultaneously. Its Linux-based operating system allows you to implement your own self-developed apps as well as applications available on the market (such as Docker©) with one device.
