Weighing controller SIWAREX WP231

The SIWAREX WP231 is programmable thanks to the TIA portal engineering platform. It is the first weighing module for the SIMATIC S7 1200 model, and can be operated with or without the SIMATIC programmable logic controllers. Integrating the weighing module into different types of control systems is enabled with the Modbus protocol, which is available with the RS-485 or Ethernet interfaces. One analog output and four digital inputs are available with the WP231 and can be controlled through either the S7 1200 or the SIWAREX model. Automatic adjustment allows the application to be ready to go in a few minutes. Reliable weighing is guaranteed, thanks to high resolution technology and a 10ms measuring rate. An HMI touch panel can be connected to the module to allow commissioning. Applications for this module include bunker and silos level monitoring, hazardous applications (with the Ex-interface IS), and platform and hopper scales weighing.
