Description

Standardize fuel temperature regardless of ambient conditions Combat high fuel return line temperatures Interfaces with CADET and 3rd party systems Conditions fuel feed and return Overview The FCU 100 and 300 fuel conditioning units are designed to provide precision temperature control as an enhancement to the features of the FuelTrak Gravimetric, FuelTrak Transient fuel flow meters or other 3rd party fuel meters. The FCU provides computer controlled fuel supply temperatures to: Combat extreme ambient conditions Combat high fuel return line temperatures Match specific test requirements Product Benefits Conditioned process loop Fuel is not heated/cooled directly Condition fuel using set points from CADET or 3rd party control system Integrate into existing fuel systems Enclosure allows wall or post mounting Common control enclosure between FuelTrak and FCU systems System Description The FCU control enclosure marshals the mains switching and I/O associated with the control of the process enclosure. The process enclosure requires one set of feed and return lines for the process fluid circuit and one for the chilled water circuit, therefore minimising the in-cell pipework. The temperature in the header tank is maintained or adjusted by directing the conditioning loop intake to one of two circuits. To cool the process loop, fluid is diverted through the chilled circuit’s heat exchanger before return to the header tank. To warm the process loop water circuit, the heat exchanger is by-passed and the immersion heater in the header tank is turned on. A PRT mounted in the header tank constantly monitors the temperature of the process water.
