Storage conditions Store as dry and air sealed. Bulk density Approx. 0.80 g/cm³ Recommended dosage 0.2 - 1.0 % of the cement weight for dry mixes 1 - 2 kg/m³ in ready-mix application A suitability test is required before utilisation. Consumption Sika® Quellmittel 1 is either mixed in with the cement or dry mortar or finally in the finished mixture. Add only on the construction site in case of ready-mixed concrete. The required mixing time after the addition is depending on the mixer and must be sufficiently dimensioned. Rapid installation should be executed because the expansion effect starts immediately with wet mixing and decreases with increasing time.
