SRDS SILENCERS DESCRIPTION AND PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION This silencer allows the same acoustical attenuation as SRd silencers to be obtained. It is equipped with the same sound-proofing devices. Its lateral tangential inlet in the first volume ensures the separation of liquid particles by a gyratory movement of gases. The liquid is evacuated by a large sized drain that must be connected to the evacuation piping. It is imperative that the separator silencer be installed in a vertical position. Upon request it can be fitted with standard sup­ porting legs. Outlet piping is axial. AS ALREADY STATED SRdS separator silencers are designed for exhaust of vacuum pumps conveying air or gas loaded with liquid particles, as is the case of vacuum pumps with water ring. SRdS silencers can also be used for Roots type blowers operating with water injection.
