DESCRIPTION The Model 1521 is a low-cost, integrated accelerome ter for use in tactical navigation and zero to medi um frequency instrumentation applications that require extremely low noise. The 1521 was designed to support the harsh conditions of down hole drilling, and the 2g versio n is ideally suited for seismic applications. Each miniature, hermetically sealed package combines a micro-machin ed capacitive sense element and a custom integrated circuit that includes a sense amplifier and differential ou tput stage. It is relatively insensitive to temper ature changes and gradients. Each device is marked with a serial num ber on its bottom surface for traceability. An opt ional calibration test sheet (1521-TST) is also available which lists the measured bias, scale factor, linearity, operat ing current and frequency response
