The Ultramix series is designed for applications that are beyond the capabilities of a conventional agitator, but not do necessarily require the intense shear of a Silverson rotor/stator mixer.
The Silverson Ultramix has an Ultra Hygienic design - single-shaft, single-piece mixing head is designed for CIP (Cleaning-In-Place). SIP (Sterilise-In-Place) is also an option.
Excellent in-tank movement is provided by the dynamic mixing head even when processing high viscosity mixes.
The Ultramix is ideal for rapidly wetting out powders and for use in vessels with narrow openings. It is capable of moving the entire contents of vessels even in difficult shaped containers thanks to it's vigorous mixing action. For this reason, the Ultramix offers considerable advantages for customers using IBCs (tote bins).
The design is suitable for applications from aggressive chemical service to the most demanding hygienic standards and is fully compliant with 3A, USDA and cGMP requirements.
The Ultramix is also available as a laboratory scale unit, allowing the user to replicate the mixing characteristics of production scale Ultramix units in the laboratory. The laboratory model can mix volumes of up to 12 litres (depending on viscosity).
