WM10 SITMA'S SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY The new Sitma WM10 is a patented machine, developed for the automatic production of plastic covers with two pockets protecting softback or hardback books. With this machine is possible to produce different sizes of protective covers with little adjustment. The dimensions of the cover can be entered into the machine either manually, via the company network or by means of an additional optional system that recognises automatically the dimensions of the book to be covered. The book receiving the protective cover is manually fed onto the infeed belt where three automatic devices, essential for the production of the cover, measure the dimensions of the book and send this data to the PLC of the machine. The film is unwound and the cutting and sealing devices are moved automatically into position to make the cover to the exact dimensions required. Whilst the book is on the infeed belt a barcode scanner reads the code of the book saving the data and sending it to the thermal printer for information to be printed on the protective cover. Every book can be personalised with individual data being printed on the protective cover. The information can include such items as: First name and surname of the user / customer Title of the book Logo or picture (on request) Barcode, OCR, Datamatrix Price
