When it comes to lubrication of air and oil, a certain quantity of oil that is metered volumetrically by a pump is pulled apart using a continuous air flow in a tube, being carried along the tube wall in the direction of compressed-air flow. The quantity of oil is fed into the air flow in impulses at a mixing point.
A nearly continuous flow of oil is produced, which leaves the outlet nozzle as fine drops, then fed to the rolling bearing without contact. This means that the overpressure that the bearing housing is under will keep dirt away from sensitive bearings. The carrier air leaves the bearing nearly free of oil, creating no oil fog or most, which makes the item environmentally friendly.
