Description

Insert bearings (SKF Y-bearings) are based on sealed deep groove ball bearings in the 62 and 63 series, but have a convex outer ring and in most cases an extended inner ring with a specific locking device, enabling quick and easy mounting onto the shaft. Product details Designs and variants Lubrication General bearing specifications Loads Temperature limits Permissible speed Design considerations Mounting and dismounting Designation system Features and benefits Quick and easy to mount The different locking methods enable quick and easy mounting of insert bearings onto the shaft. Accommodate initial misalignment The spherically shaped outside surface enables initial misalignment by tilting in the housing (fig. 1). Long service life The different sealing solutions available provide a long service life for a wide variety of applications with high contamination levels. Reduced noise and vibration levels Where high requirements on noise and vibration levels are important, SKF can provide the appropriate shaft locking method.
