Tapered section retaining rings, also referred to as circlips, are retaining rings with a tapered radial wall. They are designed for high thrust loads and heavy-duty applications. Tapered section retaining rings can be axially installed into a bore/shaft groove to safely secure assemblies in place. The tapered radial width decreases from the top to the free ends, ensuring nearly full contact with the groove when installed. Internal Tapered Section Retaining Rings ORSHE (Imperial) and RSHD (Metric) Axially assembled retaining rings for bores, designed to be installed into a housing groove. The ring functions as a removable shoulder, safely securing the assembly.
