The CA1640-20 is designed to operate in an impressively wide frequency range of 0.2 Hz to 20 MHz. It is equipped with the ability to handle diverse waveforms such as square, sine, triangle and pulse. It has a 50 Ω output impedance. It generates varying output voltages comprising ranges of 1mVp-p to 10Vp-p at 50 Ω, 1mVp-p to 20Vp-p at 1M Ω, 50Vp-p and 1Ap-p. Outputs are generated in the sweeping mode as well as single frequency mode.
The device provides a symmetry of 20% to 80% and incorporates a DC offset value in the range of -5V to +5V. The TTL output impedance is 600 Ω, while the TTL waveforms are pulse type waveforms. The TTL output is "0" <0.8V and "1" >+3V. The unit is sized 265x215x90 mm. It has a rated power of 30 W and rated voltage of 110 V at 60 Hz. Its operating temperature range is 0 to 40oC.
The frequency counter facilitates extremely low fluctuation rates of 0.5%, which may go up to 1.5% at certain frequencies. The waveform distortion rate is 90% for sine waves. It is less than 5% at 10 kHz and 5Vp-p for square waves. the rising time for square waves is less than 17 nS.
The function outputs achieved are 1Vp-p to 10Vp-p at 0dB with 10% accuracy rate; 0.1Vp-p to 1Vp-p at 20 dB, with 10% accuracy rates; 10mVp-p to 100mVp-p at 40 dB, with accuracy rates of 10% and 1mVp-p to 10mVp-p at 60 dB, with 10% accuracy rates.
