Currently there is a rising use of satellites designed for weather surveillance, scientific measurements, telecommunications, and highly accurate positioning systems. These platforms need very accurate attitude and dynamics control system (ADCS), therefore those instruments - solar panels, antennas and other hardware - have to be properly oriented in order to perform their functions. The sun sensors whose can measure the two axes incident angle of a solar radiation are the most extended among all available positioning sensors for satellite orientation.
Solar MEMS Technologies is a company committed to constant innovation, specialized in the Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and their application to solar sensors. The experience and heritage in the space industry during the last 10 years allows Solar MEMS to design, develop and manufacture sun sensors for attitude control of satellites.
