Description

The lineup of liquid crystal microdisplays from Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (SSS) includes the SXRD™ (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) reflective type liquid crystal display panel that realizes high resolution and high contrast ratio, and the BrightEra™ transmissive type High Temperature p-Si TFT LCD (hereinafter called “HTPS”), the strengths of which are high luminance and high light fastness. These contribute to advances in projectors by utilizing SSS's original backplane design technology and high light fastness TFT technology. Features Selection of two types of liquid crystal devices A lineup of two types of liquid crystal devices - the reflective type SXRD™ and the transmissive type BrightEra™. The type can be selected to fit the application. Reflective type liquid crystal display device SXRD The SXRD utilizes SSS’s original fine pixel pitch technology, pixel flattening technology and inorganic alignment technology to achieve a compact size, high reflectivity and high contrast ratio performance. Features of SXRD • High definition: Full HD (5,976 ppi) • High contrast ratio: 2,000:1 or higher (Typical) • High light reliability: Uses inorganic alignment layer film
