Description

Lineup of high-quality, high-performance laser devices for applications such as 3D sensing and optical communication Semiconductor lasers from Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation(SSS) include a lineup of 3D sensing and products for applications such as optical communication, allowing us to respond to a wide variety of requirements. VCSEL(Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) VCSELs (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers) differ from edge emitting lasers in that they emit light vertically from their upper surfaces. VCSELs are small in size and can be converted to two-dimensional arrays. SSS can mass-produce VCSEL chips for applications such as 3D sensing and optical communication. We are also involved in the technical development of customized products and next-generation products to match customer requirements. Edge emitter semiconductor lasers SSS has a lineup of products with various wavelength bands, for applications such as optical discs and laser printers.
