The chiller is equipped with a “FREE-COOLING” system to save energy by using outdoor air when weather conditions permit.
The regulation system compares the outdoor temperature, the glycol water temperature at the “free-cooling” battery input, and the “free-cooling” (Delta) setpoint, in order to support total or partial chilling using ambient air, thereby reducing the use of refrigeration compressors and therefore the electric energy consumed.
