The standard 5-part pellet dies consist of a base, a body, 2 pressing pellets between which the sample is pressed as well as a plunger. In addition, 2 O-rings are used to complete the die and enable superior performance. Dies are also supplied with an extractor cup or ring to enable easy removal of the sample. All dies 5 -20mm have an evacuation tube, the 32 and 40mm dies are available with or without an evacuation tube. Those which have an evacuation tube allow the fitting of a vacuum pump to be used to assist with the removal of moisture if desired during the pressing process.
