Description

These high grade stainless steel balls have a lower chrome content than the 440C versions - which reduces the cost - but otherwise they have similar characteristics: notably a high resistance to corrosion from fresh water, steam, ammonia, petroleum products, blood, perspiration, alcohol and food. Note: they will not pass the standard 40 hour salt spray test. Benefits These balls strike a first-rate balance between mid-level corrosion resistance and material strength at a cost effective price. Use You'll find these balls commonly used on bicycles, instruments used for calibration and examinations, as well as in lighters, pens, bearings and valves. International Equivalents AISI 420/420C, X30CR13/X46CR13 Z40 C13, EN56D, Wks 1.4034/1.3541
