The locknut is built on a rotationally symmetrical premise without any imbalancing components, for example, grooves. slots etc. The clamping screws dispersed equitably around the fringe work in conjunction with the preferably designed versatile stomach of the locknut on the shaft string to give actually clipping drives all path the round.
