The trapdoor prevents the DUT from being touched during the generation of dangerous voltages. As soon as the trapdoor is opened, the hazardous voltage is forcibly disconnected. DUT enclosures with a trap door are mainly used when a large number of DUTs with a high weight need to be tested ergonomically.
