Metal GC column 8600 series

15, 30, and 60-meter 0.53mm metal widebore capillary columns wound on a 3.5" coil 1/8" O.D. packed columns SRI can supply and install most types of column. We prefer the metal capillary columns because they are unbreakable, can be coiled to a smaller diameter, yet cost and perform the same as fused silica columns, which can break. For some applications such as gases, freons, water, and others, packed columns are preferred. The column oven on the SRI Model 8610C can accommodate up to a single 7" column cage (5" is preferred) or multiple columns wound on a smaller form. The column oven on the Model 310, 410, and the dual column ovens on the 8610D, can accommodate up to a single 4" column cage or multiple columns wound on a smaller coil.
