The UKS 850 Automatic crosscut saw is designed for cutting logs, construction timber, or sharply cut boards, which require a large cutting pattern. Another application is cutting boards and slats in pallet production. On average, this saw can process 30-33 m3 of pallet lumber per shift (8 hours), or approximately 23,000 pieces of pallet blocks. When cutting logs with a length of 5 meters and an average volume of 0.25 m3 per log, the capacity is approximately 5 m3 of logs per hour. The saw can be operated by a single worker when using a cross-feed conveyor, along which the material to be cut arrives, for example, from a frame saw. The placement of a second worker is limited by the weight and quantity of the material loaded on the machine without a cross-feed conveyor.
1. Manual Mode
You can set each cut length by moving the material using the buttons on the panel or by adjusting the length value on the control panel's dial. Initiate the cut pressing the button on control board. This mode is suitable for individual sequential cuts.
2. Automatic Mode
a) Set a single cut dimension for the entire length of the input material. Upon initiating the cut with the pedal, the entire material will be automatically cut to this set value. After completing the cut, the feeder will return to the preset length value of the input material. This mode is suitable for the production of pallet blocks, allowing for a quick transition between different values during frequent changes in input material.
