The IEC61131-3 industry standard from the International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) defines the main programming languages used by developers to create applications for programmable logic controllers (PLCs):
SFC (Sequential Function Chart)
ST (Structured Text)
FBD (Function Block Diagram)
LD (Ladder Diagram)
IL (Instruction List)
The editors include modern functions for automatic insertion of variables and/or structures, indentation of text languages as well as a comprehensive online help and many other essential tools for the conception of reliable applications.
The straton software also has graphical application editors for the creation of dashboards, debug functions with triggers, breakpoints and step by step, the possibility to visualize variables variations (soft-scope) and many logs about the application’s operations.
The Validation Tool allowing to launch automatic test procedures for your Runtime
Libraries Manager (OEM)
Graphic Display (Soft scope and online debug)
Program import, export, modification and conversion*
Project comparison (Diff Tool)*
Around fifty communication stacks and drivers are supported. Most of the time for both the Client/Master and Server/Slave sides. It goes from the common protocols (Modbus, CAN, CANOpen…) through Industry 4.0 related ones (OPC UA, MQTT…) to the fast ones (Profinet, Powerlink, Ethercat…) and Energy related ones (IEC61850, IEC60870, DNP3…).
The possibility to communicate over TCP/IP as well as a serial link, to create a shared memory on your device or even to share variables with an embedded webserver, allows you to develop and deploy sophisticated applications, answering to most of the market needs.
