Straightening is the simplest and quickest process to correct the curvature of a sheet that comes from a coil. With this function, you will have a higher quality in the subsequent handling of the cut sheet. It is extremely useful for production processes that require straight sheets, such as guillotine cutting, stamping, or bending.
The technology consists of a set of rolls that are adjustable with positioning indicators. Adjusting the rolls on vertical it will remove previous tensions on sheet steel metal and obtain the flat shape. Stefa cutting lines can be equipped with different straighteners to suit the needs of their users.
Longitudinal cut
The Longitudinal cut (Slitting unit), an optional module, is used to cut one or more strips of sheet metal directly from the coil. These units are placed after the straightening rolls and by circular blades, the cutting measures are quickly adjustable by hand. The maximum number of allowable cuts depends on the capacity of the machine. By standard Stefa slitting units are offered with minimum of 4 cuts.
Transversal Cut
Stefa cutting lines are equipped with a guillotine for transversal cutting. These are usually mechanical guillotines that ensure a fast, robust, and precise cut.
