The PG Series Precision Bore Gaging System is a unique mechanical gaging system developed by Sunnen that makes I.D. gaging simple, reliable and economical. The PG series design is rugged and reliable, having been proven over decades of use on shop floors around the world. The PG precision gage is a productive complement to Sunnen or other honing machines where they are used to measure bores as part of the honing operation.
Teaming a PG gage with a Sunnen PG Series Setting Fixture creates a complete gaging system that eliminates buying and maintaining expensive master rings, plug gages and air gage probes. Both the gage and setting fixture are built for everyday use making them ideal for "in-process" inspection during production or in a QC setting.
Gage Specifications
PG gages and setting fixtures are available to cover diameters from .090” to 4.310” (2.29 mm to 109.47 mm) with .000050” and .0001” increments (0.001 mm for metric versions).
The PG-700E Small Bore Precision Gage is for diameters ranging from 2.29 mm – 9.63 mm (.090 inch to .379 inch). The direct reading scale with 0.13 mm (.005 inch) range is divided into increments of 0.001 mm (.00005 inch). The PG-700EM is for metric applications.
The PG-710E Small Bore Precision Gage is identical to the PG-700 except the direct reading scale is 0.24 mm (.010 inch) wide and divided into increments of 0.0025 mm (.0001 inch). The PG-710EM is for metric applications.
The PG-800E Precision Bore Gage is for diameters from 9.4 mm to 38.1 mm (.370 to 1.500 inch). Direct reading scale with 0.13 mm (.005 inch) range divided into increments of 0.001 mm (.00005 inch). The PG-800EM is available for metric applications.
