Description

Mineral insulated copper cable(MICC) is combined annealed copper as conductor, Mgo powder as insulation, and annealed copper tube as sheath, it is widely applicated in the power industry. MICC CABLE'S ADVANTAGES 1. Fireproof:As the melting point of copper is 1083 ℃ and that of magnesium oxide is 2800 ℃, MICC cable can continue to supply power in case of fire near the melting point of copper, which is a kind of real fireproof cable. It is currently the only safety cable that can maintain a power supply capacity of three hours in a fire at 1000°C and withstand the impact of fire water sprinklers and heavy object falls. 2.Large ampacity and overload resistance: The thermal conductivity of magnesium oxide insulation material is large and the heat dissipation is good. The current of mineral insulated cables is large; its overload capacity can reach more than 10 times the normal current carrying capacity. 3.Waterproof and explosion proof : Seamless copper pipe sheath isolates water molecules and has a good waterproof effect. Also, combustible gases, oil vapors, and flames cannot reach electrical equipment connected to cables; 4.High temperature and corrosion resistance: As MICC cable is made of copper, this material can withstand high temperature. With the protect of plastic sheath, the cable can work in severely corrosive environment; 5.Environmentally friendly: Under fire conditions the cable does not spontaneously combust and does not produce smoke and toxic gases; due to the continuity of the copper sheath and the extremely low ground resistance, it can be used as a ground conductor, which saves a single protective ground wire;
