Ningbo kitchen waste plant is the first project in China applying the World Bank loan for the MSW disposal. JONO has been qualified as EPC general contractor for kitchen waste pre-processing system, anaerobic fermentation system and aerobic composting system of this project. The impurities rate of input organic waste in this project is more than 30%, that includes plastic (PP, LDPE), ferrous, paper (napkin, diapers) and so on. In order to purify the organics, mechanical presorting system is applied to produce the organics with high purity(95%), afterward those organics be bio-degraded by anaerobic digestion and biogas is produced. The biogas production is around 80-90m³/t with about 55% of methane. At present, the actual processing capacity of a single production line of the pretreatment system is twice the design processing capacity, and can run continuously for 20 hours per day. Organic waste mainly includes kitchen waste、food waste and garden waste. Organic waste treatment process currently has the grim situation of the complex design and environmental control of production plant due to it has perishable and odorous characteristics. Comparing the organic waste treatment process waste characteristics between China and Europe, JONO adopts MBT processing and coprocessing modes to realize a higher recovery of organic waste.
