The QICPIC image analysis sensor offers together with the RODOS/L dry disperser, fast and reproducible analysis of particle size and shape for fine, dry and cohesive powders in the range of 1.8 - 4,000 µm in the laboratory.
A pulsed LED optically freezes the moving particles with illumination times in the nanosecond range, while a high-resolution, high-speed camera captures the razor-sharp particle projections with a frequency of up to 500 frames per second. Algorithms evaluate millions of particles in shortest time to guarantee the statistical reliability of the results.
RODOS high-speed dispersion enriches image analysis with a patented combination of dispensing and dispersion. To enable gentle, complete and product-specific dispersion, compressed air is used to create a dry aerosol that is blown through the light beam and collected in the aspirator after analysis.
The sample is fed by the VIBRI vibratory feeder. The controlled vibratory feeding unit feeds the sample constantly and independently of the loading into the RODOS/L.
The measuring, dispersing and dosing features are controlled by the PAQXOS software, which enables the simultaneous determination of all relevant size and shape parameters.
