Particle size analysis of smallest quantities of dry, active substances with laser diffraction in the range from 0.1 µm to 875 µm. The compact HELOS/BR sensor, in combination with the automated RODOS/L dry disperser, offers fast and repeatable particle size analysis of dry, finely dispersed products. The RODOS high-speed disperser enriches the HELOS - with its classical diffraction arrangement in a parallel beam path - by a patented combination of dosing and dispersion. To enable gentle, complete and product-specific dispersion, compressed air is used to generate a dry aerosol, which is blown through the light beam and collected in the aspirator after analysis. Sample feeding is performed with ASPIROS. The microdosing system can be used to analyze toxic or valuable substances in small amounts up to 1,000 mg. The sample is filled into encapsulated sample tubes, which prevent contact with the environment when the measuring zone is closed. The measuring, dispersing and dosing characteristics are controlled by the PAQXOS software, which enables the simultaneous determination of all relevant form parameters.
