Description

HELOS/BR & SPRAYER forms a reliable system for the analysis of pharmaceutical metered dose inhalers, pump and propellant sprays. The proven HELOS laser diffraction sensor with its classic diffraction arrangement in a parallel beam path, together with the SPRAYER adapter, provides reproducible and meaningful analyses of particle and droplet size distributions in the range of 0.25 - 875 µm. The modular design enables a wide range of applications and is adaptable to test a variety of inhalers including DPIs, MDIs, SMIs and nebulizers. Optionally, tilted application arrangements can be realized in combination with ROTOR. All important measurement parameters are controlled by the PAQXOS software, which allows simultaneous determination of all relevant size characteristics. Advantages: • Application-oriented droplet size analysis • Development of sprays that ensure good distribution of the drug on the mucous membranes • Targeted optimization of dosing pump systems and squeeze bottles for spray preparations • Characterization of the finger forces required to release a spray dose with therapeutically favorable droplet size distribution • Flexibly adaptable measuring system for different spray applicators • Modular measurement system expandable for changing applications in pharmaceutical development • Automated measuring process, low preparation and cleaning effort • User-specific evaluation modes, filter criteria, diagrams
