HELOS & CUVETTE 50 is suitable as a compact system for wet measurement of suspensions and emulsions with particle sizes from 0.25 - 3,500 µm. It consists of the proven HELOS laser diffraction sensor - with its classic diffraction arrangement in the parallel beam path - and the CUVETTE 50 stationary cuvette.
Suspensions and emulsions are passed in small quantities through the 50 ml stationary cuvette and gently dispersed for reliable particle size analysis. The cuvette is made of optical glass and is free of adhesives. An integrated magnetic stirrer ensures homogenization of the sample. If necessary, an ultrasonic finger can be lowered into the cuvette to provide an additional energy input for dispersion.
Finely dispersed suspensions and emulsions in the range of 0.1 - 87.5 µm can alternatively be analyzed with CUVETTE 6.
