The state-of-the-art processor technology is one of the most important advantages of this unit, which makes the platform suitable for PC/104 bus systems. The CPU board comes with a frequency of 800MHz, while the board is based on Vortex processor technology. Note that all components, including the processor, are suited for an extended temperature range, between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius and can be used with outdoor applications and in the vehicle construction and railroad industries. Finally, the interface is ESD protected, while the board is optionally available with protective varnish, required for all railroad systems.
