LoRa is a wireless communication technology for sensor networks, a next generation LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) communication technology that can transfer small amount of data over long-range. Using a low-power-long-distance-wireless-technology called “LoRa”, Lory2 is a wireless communication modem that enables HimalayaTalk2 to send and receive texts and geolocations between devices without base stations, in addition to the data transfer through STT (Speech to Text) and TTS (Text to Speech) technologies. Lory2 is a multifunctional device that enables communication even in locations where solid wireless communication network is hard to establish, such as hiking in remote areas, mounting climbing, trekking, outing, traveling, fishing, construction sites, ships, etc. Furthermore, it enables communication capabilities during natural disasters when the wireless network connectivity is lost.
Great portability
Lory is a business card-sized device with Bluetooth (BLE4.1) available and works by pairing up with smart devices such as smartphones. Lory overcomes spatial limitations with its wireless connection and can be kept inside a pocket or bag or used as an accessory.
Solar charging and portable power pack
Using the battery installed inside the Lory2, it can be turned into a portable battery pack to charge smartphones. Also, the solar cells in the back surface of the Lory2 enables solar charging. It is a multifunctional device with portable power supply that can be very useful in the case of emergency or in remote areas.
Waterproof and dustproof design
Lory2 is equipped with the highest level of waterproof / dustproof IP67 rating, so it can be
