Shell-Tube Type Heat Exchangers are the most widely used in all industrial facilities for the transfer of thermal energy between different fluids. A shell-tube heat exchanger consists of tubes whose tube bundle is mounted in a cylindrical body. One of the liquids flows inside the tubes, the other fluid flows along the outside of the tubes. The main components of the shell-tube heat exchanger are tubes (or tube bundle), shell body, front and rear header, baffles and tube plate.
