The Techné clamp seal is an aseptic seal exclusively used in clamp (or tri-clamp) fittings. Depending on the country and the field of application, there are several dimensional standards: Clamp seal DIN 32676 Clamp seal ISO 1127 Clamp seal SMS ISO 2852 Clamp seal BS OD/BS4825-3 A complete fitting is composed of two ferrules, a clamp for assembly and a seal for clamp fitting. This composition allows a simple and fast disassembly and reassembly of the set. Aseptic seals are compatible with ferrules to DIN 32676. Profiles Four profiles of triclover clamp seals are available: Clamp seal type A (flanged) Clamp seal type B (not flanged) Mini clamp seal Micro clamp seal Namely: For a ferrule outer diameter of 25 mm, the profile is a micro clamp or µ clamp. For a ferrule outer diameter of 34 mm, the clamp A or B is called mini clamp. From a ferrule outer diameter of 50.5 mm, the seal is called clamp. Main applications The clamp seal is intended to ensure the sealing in the connection of several elements of piping.
