The LMK 6 color is adapted to the CIE color sensitivity functions of the 2° standard observer (CIE 1931) for color measurements using a color glass filter wheel. Each camera has a unique color filter wheel made for it. This allows not only luminance but also color coordinates to be measured with spatial resolution.
In addition, the measurement system can be equipped with further all-glass filters, for example, to the scotopic luminance V'(λ), the effect function for melatonin suppression Smel, different NIR filters, a BLH filter (blue light hazard), or a clear glass filter.
Due to its robust construction, compact dimensions, and low weight, it can be used for many different light and color measurement tasks.
In combination with the supplied system and measurement software, the application areas are in research and development as well as in industrial automation.
Its flexibility is further increased by a large selection of high-quality standard lenses and special imaging systems in combination with an interchangeable lens connection. This enables the LMK 6 color to combine a wide variety of measuring devices in one system.
Applications
The LMK 6 color can also be used in the aerospace industry. The application areas are cabin lighting, cockpit lighting, backlit cockpit control panels, displays, and head-up displays. In the field of aerospace infrastructure lighting, the LMK 6 can be used to measure the luminance of runway and parking lot illumination or to characterize taxiway signs at airports.
