Always attentive to the customer’s requirements, TECNA introduces a complete range of machines, called “Strength Test 1900“, with capacities from 5000 N to 300.000 N, and provides both bench and floor versions, designed to monitor the quality of the joints either spot or projection welded through destructive tests of traction and compression of the samples.
These machines are particularly suitable for manufacturing companies that rely on both spot and projection resistance welding and have the need to ensure precise mechanical features of the welded joint, such as the maximum force applied and the type of fracture, either due to fragility or to yield , which occurs when the maximum force applied is exceeded. In an industrial world where normally each welded spot must be checked and certificated the new TECNA ST1900 turns out to be the perfect instrument for guaranteeing the quality of the process.
The ST1900 have either a single or a double stationary self-supporting structure with a vertical movement of the operating head.
Thanks to the precision recirculating ball screws, this very rigid kinematic solution guarantees a high quality precision test. To the vertical movement test system is applied a force transducer which varies according to the ST1900’s models and capacities, that is to say according to a range that goes from 5000 N up to 300.000 N. The ST1900 can carry out both tensile tests on steel samples or rods, either spot or projection welded, and compression tests on projection welded nuts and bushings. This allows to estimate, during the test, the deformation of the material and the direct effects on the welded sample being inspected.
