Description

The taper bush system offers a simple, cost-effective and flexible variant of the shaft-hub connection. Due to the internationally standardised sizes of the taper bushings, changes to the bore diameters can be implemented easily and quickly from stock. Our high-quality taper bushes are made of grey cast iron EN-GJL-200 (old GG-20) and are supplied ready for installation with cylindrical metric or imperial bores, keyways according to DIN 6885/1 or BS46 and mounting screws. The principle of the cone-clamp connection offers the advantage of a very short installation length compared to conventional keyway connections. The clamping on the shaft results in additional axial securing. This feature also enables the transmission of low torques without the use of a key.
