The Internet of Things (IoT), 5G and EV technology booming markets are driving the miniaturization of microelectronics’ components having higher performance and lower power consumption. Multi Layered Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC) are core to these components and manufacturing the next, high-end generation of MLCC that will meet those stringent requirements is highly demanding in terms of on materials quality. In particular, Nickel layers (used as electrodes interposed between dielectric layers) with thickness smaller than 400 nm (0,4 µm) must be made from paste containing Nickel nanoparticles that meets an exhaustive list of specifications, namely: a mean diameter of 80 nm or less, a spherical morphology, a controlled chemistry, and a very low level of agglomeration.
