Waste gas handling system
The WGHS is the innovative gaseous waste disposal system, necessary during synthesis processes which generate radioactive gas.
Its functions are:
• Detection of radioactive gases
• Isolation of the hot cell and automatic delivery of the gases into the storage tanks
• Safe storage in tanks up to the needed decay
• Release of the gases when radioactivity decays
• Check and record of data related to each waste cycle
