APB devices are halfwave rectifiers with an input power supply of 100-500 Vac; it can therefore replace several rectifiers with limited input dynamics. The devices are equipped with a circuit to ensure a strong excitation (opening of the brake) as the ignition feeds the brake with two half-wave for a few hundred milliseconds. After this time of excitation (starting) the brake is supplied with a half-wave reducing the current absorption. Input and output are protected against overvoltage peaks.
The case is completely renovated, small size and input-output are with terminal block.
A switch can be inserted between terminals 3 and 4 to disconnect the brake from DC voltage, improving de-energization times. The circuit is housed in the container and resin-coated for better protection.
The value of the protection fuse (F), must be intended as a device that the customer prepares in the rectifier power supply circuit, as it is not present inside the rectifier itself.
