Because of a hermetically sealed stainless steel housing shield, Temposonics RS sensors can operate in really harsh environments and are suitable for outdoor and high-pressure wash-down cleaning as well. With protection levels of the IP68 and IP69K categories, they are also shielded against corrosion by penetration of dirt or water. The robust, rod-shaped sensors have been created so that users are able to measuring lengths of between 50 to 7600 mm. The non-contact measuring methods make sensor integration possible into a hermetically sealed housing. A magnet moves along the sensor pipe and marks the position without mechanical contact. There is an optional float for level measurement.
