Gaslogger is an innovative instrument based on wireless technology that allow you to monitor real-time both oxygen concentration, pressure, temperature and the relative humidity, inside a closed container. The data can also be logged. The instrument is small sized (44x44x29 mm) and composed of two parts: the sensitive head Gaslogger which measures, records and transmits the data and the receiver IceTag Reader USB which can control thousands of Gaslogger heads by reading, graphing and recording simultaneously each parameter of 5 of them. Every Gaslogger can store up to 75000 acquisitions of all 4 sensors, with an acquisition interval from a second to a day.
For the first time with Gaslogger it's possible to monitor the changes of the oxygen concentration, pressure, temperature and the relative humidity, into the food packages with the product inside in real conditions, out of the analytical laboratories, along throughout the supply chain also. With Gaslogger there is no need to puncture the container anymore to measure the parameters of interest but you just need to place the sensor itself into the package, to seal the product and start the measurement. The data can be collected real-time or download upon the receipt of the product even on the other side of the world. Gaslogger can measure even within non-transparent containers that cannot be measured with optical techniques.
Finally, thanks to Gaslogger, you can monitor from the inside the real changes of the MAP into packages with food inside and in this way you can avoid the problems of the theoretical modeling due to the complexity of the food.
