After wrapping, products are loaded into a cardboard box – otherwise known as secondary packaging - for transport to a cold storage facility or direct to the retailer.
The key to successful secondary packaging is timing. The conveyor needs to move the ice cream into the cold store within 3 – 5 minutes to prevent melting. It's also important to avoid stops on the line, since, even with the somewhat insulating effect of the carton material, this quickly leads to product waste.
Cooperating with external partner companies, We offer a range of automatic and semi-automatic systems for wrapped novelties, sleeved cones, cups, tubes and other products.
