The modular Fibre Classifying System FCS determines the quality of the incoming raw cotton fibres or cotton slivers in order to optimize the spinning process. Additionally, the FCS test data can be used to verify the cotton quality according to recommendations by USDA or similar organizations. The system provides:
Micronaire values (including Maturity MV, MA%, and linear density),
Fibre length properties (including UI, UR, 2,5% SL, 25% SL, 50% SL, UHML, ML, UQL, SFC, SFI),
Fibre strength properties (strength and elongation),
Whiteness degree Rd, yellowness degree +b and Colour Grade CG, as well as the
Neps- and trash content
As an outstanding feature the FCS can measure all fibre properties in absolute figures, without the need of calibration cotton; this makes the FCS ideally suited to also measure chemical fibres and fibre blends.
