When a fluidic system is subject to a rapid temperature change, the thermal expansion of fluids may potentially cause damage within the system. Thermal relief valves are designed to relieve small volumes of fluid to protect against thermal expansion. Due to the small passage size of thermal relief valves, they include an integral CRES low micron filter upstream of the valve seat to prevent internal silting due to ingested contamination.
This miniature thermal relief valve is only .187” in diameter and 1” in length. This valve has been optimized for relieving the small flows caused by thermal expansion of a trapped volume of fluid. Minimum cracking pressures are available from 3,500 thru 4,500 psid. Comes with an intergral 15 micron filter.
