One area of Träxler's expertise is the coating of assembly parts subjected to wear and tear. Depending on the wear, the following may have to be considered: Elastomer coatings To protect against cavitation, elastomer coatings are applied particularly to the impellers of the mixer to prevent premature wear. This protection extends the useful life of impellers significantly. Hard-armouring On assembly parts made of steel, steel casting, or austenitic manganese steel, tough, wear-resistant welds are applied with a hardness of up to 58 HRC. This tried and tested armouring is resistant against abrasion, impact and heat and it is particularly used at the gas seal area of the mixer shaft. The in-house production of protective sleeves with hard-armouring shows the goal of Hermann Träxler to produce in-house all components necessary for the mixer with a high vertical range of production.
